Just want to thank everyone for all the suggestions we received regarding MJ's shoulder surgery. Flew to NY last Wed, met with Dr. David Tuckman from Manhasset Orthopaedic and he did the surgery on Monday!! Great group if anyone ever needs someone. Anyhow, we're already back home in Florida where she will start PT next week and begin recuperating. Thanks again to everyone for all your support!
 
Yes......hope she has a speedy recovery.....and enjoys the pain meds !!!

Best wishes to MJ. I hope she recovers fully and as quickly as my brother who had a new shoulder joint installed last October.

How did you arrange surgery on the same trip?

How did you decide that NY docs were better than FL docs?
 
Bruce, we made the appointment for Thurs., the day after we were arriving in NY. Doc looked at the injury, took x-rays and said he would do the surgery in a week or two. When I told him we flew from Florida just to see him he said he would do it that Monday! Did the pre op on Friday and had the surgery Monday morning. Saw him for a follow up a week later and then flew home. Didn't decide NY docs were better than Florida......insurance only covers her in NY, she doesn't yet have Florida insurance.

Wish her a speedy recovery. She'll be back on the boat taking/giving (?) orders before you know it. Hy
