Is there a reason not to let the shower drain right into the bilge? I mean, it goes overboard anyway, what's the difference? Is it just a matter of the danger of not knowing if your bilge pump fails and the bilge fills up (would be a really long shower)? Instead of replacing my bad shower pump I could very well put in a third bilge pump (which I plan to anyway, with alarm).
