I am checking around for costs to Shrinkwrap my boat on the Chesapeake bay. What are you finding for cost/perfoot. It also depends on the style of boat. Hardtop and flybridge boats are more. I have been quoted $22.50 p/f for a 44'w/Hardtop.
Anyone else? I would also be curious about lift and storage on the hard.

Van,
A retired friend & self employed guy on our dock does professional wash & wax/polishing and shrinkwrap. His team is readily available. I'm sure he'll beat any price you find.

They did outstanding buff & polishing on my boat while it was in the water, not by choice of course. He has done some major industrial shrinkwrapping as well as many boats in the area
for years. Examples of his shrinkwrap work can be seen rb2@gr5t the Marina storage if any has been done.

He's rb2@gr5t Mears Point Marina Grasonville, MD
"R" dock, just ask anyone where Charlie is, he'll probably be the first one you see rb2@gr5t R dock as he lives on his boat & does this work out there during the boating season, 10+ years. Sorry don't want to put his # on here without asking him first. He is not associated with the Marina but everyone knows him.

Mears Point has a lift & hard storage don't know the costs

Wickersway,
I usually keep my boat at mears in the winter. I have used Charlie in the past for detailing. I dont think he will be able to come in and shrinkwrap at the marina, but I may be wrong. I have talked with Gary Fuss and was told by others that Schumann's actually sets the price and I believe that anyone who comes in has to have the same price. 22.50/ft seems very high.

Wickersway,

Can you ask Charlie if I can get his # from you? I want to call him about pricing on wax/polishing....Thanks....

Brad

I only have a 26' cruiser so you guys have much bigger boats and would take longer but I bought a shirnk wrap gun (hook it to a portable propane tank) a couple years ago and do my own. It really is not complicated. You'll spend a couple hundred dollars for the gun but then the wrap and supplies thereafter are very cheap.
