I have a 2004 260 Sundancer and the sliding door to the cabin lost one of its slides. Is there an easy way to take out the door to screw the slide back in? I've looked it over and can't find an easy way without taking the dash off.

You`re right. There isn`t an easy way. By looking at my 250, the helm has to come off. My door is hard to slide back and forth,, but after looking at the procedure,,, I look at it as a reason not to buy a Bowflex work out machine.

I'm thinking of putting some super glue on it, sliding it under and pray it holds!

I had the same problem on my 270, one of the slides came off. Apparently, tree leaves had gotten down there and jammed the slide till it eventually broke.

After repeated attempts to get it to stay on, I finally had Marine Max fix it right a few years ago. They had to take off the windshield, take out the dash and put on new slides. I think it cost me about a grand.

It has worked great ever since. Well worth going ahead and just get it fixed as it won't fix itself.

I had to take off the helm, well actually I just took out the screws which were near impossible to unscrew and pulled the helm back(two people needed), I found my SS screws were sheared off, so I replaced them with heavier SS screws but not using the same holes. Be careful if you pull the helm back, you probably will pull out some of the wires, you should disconnect the harnesses first. Then you will have to recalk the helm, I found the perfect match calk at Home Depot...
