Looking to purchase small boat to be able to trailer around and still be able to take a ride thru the bay with calm conditions.

When you say small, how small? What do you have to tow it with, a Honda Civic or a Ford Explorer? Do you want an outboard or I-O? How many people do you plan to cruise with.

I have a nice clean 1996 Bayliner Capri 1750 for sale with lots of extras. Gimme a call 717-629-3844 just south of Lancaster,PA. Only used the boat down on Northeast River several times it's familiar territory for it.

Aye, there's the rub! You can't always predict the conditions. If you're just going to be fishing less than a mile from shore, a small boat is OK. If you are going to cross the Bay, you need a high riding boat of 22' or more.

I trailer my 22' Starcraft aluminum cuddy all over the Bay. It is designed to survive 8' waves, but, believe me, I've gotten wet and shook by 4-5 footers off Sandy Point. Much of "trailerable" depends on the tow vehicle. Most SUV's and pickups can handle up to 25' cabin boats, and you'll be glad you bought big when the waves whip up.

EJM - I also have a boat for sale that would suit your needs. 1997 Maxum 24' bowrider, in very very clean shape with tandem axle galvanized trailer. Located 20 minutes north of Philadelhia. If interested give me a call at 215-778-5298. Good luck and have fun shopping.
