File this under the WTF?
This has happened 2X to me. 405 Cruisers Yachts. Walk into the stateroom, Smoke is spilling out of the TV and the shorepower (50 amp, 2 120s) has a leg out. Shut it all down. Unplug the TV and reset everyting, and the power is back and everyting is Kosher. Well, almost everything. The powerstrip for the satellite boxes has a black hole in it from the surge. The Washer/Dryer unit doesn't work. And I've now blown the Forward Stateroom tv and the Salon TV.
We had some work done on the Glendenning a few weeks ago but the boat ran fine last weekend. My friend said it could be a loose wire that causes 240 to surge thru the boat.
I have no idea, but am looking for answers.
