It took about three months for ours. Insane setup on our outdrive required it to be pulled out of the water. Only one ramp that could accommodate it with our low water situation and the haul out ran a couple thousand, alone. Outdrive had to be rebuilt and parts are hard to come by. All in, it was about an $8,000 impeller replacement. (We upgraded our depth finder/GPS, too)Haven't really gotten started. Took three days over 2 weeks to change an impeller. Another 2 weeks to recover.![]()
$8000 may have been worth it. You didn't have a body full of cuts and bruises. My pump is tucked in right behind a bulkhead. So I am leaning over arms squished in between. Dropping parts deep into the bilge. Had cuts and bruises on my arms all the way up to my biceps. My chest was all bruised from laying over. Much easier when I was more flexible. But at some point, it became a quest not to give into defeat. It took about three months for ours. Insane setup on our outdrive required it to be pulled out of the water.
