I think Carvers are AWESOME boats. Although my neighbor's Regal is almost as nice :D
 
Our boating area is very "Carver dominate" and used ones are always in demand here.Have to ask yourself why? We who own them love them, it's that simple.
 
I'm going to spank Les! I posted this on the REGAL forum in order to tease John and Les moved it here! It was supposed to be a joke. Oh well, must be the weather in New Hampshire this morning...

My viewpoint is somewhat myopic since CARVER is our first larger vessel! Given that, whenever I am browsing the "used" websites dreaming about a move up, I end up at Carver again. If the economy wasn't so tight right now, I'd trade up on a nice loaded 4207 with Diesels and a hardtop. But, alas, college is also coming for the 3 dwarfs in a couple years - I'll probably have to enjoy the "old wreck" for a while longer. No question, Carver has a decent reputation AND you do get a lot of boat for the money. That said, everyone has to be knowledgable about what they jump into. There is a lot of junk out there. Do your homework, and a Carver will serve you well!
 
I don't know, I heard a few times Carvers would be better equipped with wheels?

Let's see if I opened a can of worms...

that wouldn't be a smart move, would it Art? but he DID sell the Doral, so....
 
Could I have a nice Cabernet instead Pete? It makes the Carver run better.

Although yes it's true, I'll admit it, Carvers aren't my favorites... Hopefully Pete won't ban me now.

And no, I don't even own a boat to brag about nowadays!
 
I have a set of wheels on my Carver....... Michigan Wheels to be exact.
 
LOL! I have indeed heard the "set of wheels" comment before. Yeah, my boat could probably use them - in fact once in awhile I wish it had them, because I'd save a ton on gas by using I-87 instead of the Hudson...

Oh boy, look what I started! Well, you know what? If any of you ever get to The Anchorage Marina on the Rondout Creek in Kingston, NY you will be treated to MULTIPLE free beers! Or Cabernet if you prefer. And that includes you, Ernesto, boatless or not :) !!!
 
Oh boy free wine! You got me on that one! There's a couple of boats in NY on our short list, so watch out we may come your way, and we'll be expecting the wine! LOL

Talking about wheels... I've started thinking about the whole new joystick thing on IPS boats, and to me that's like owning a boat with "training wheels". If my mother in law can dock the boat, that'll take the whole pride out of it IMO.

I'm I really trying to hijack the thread now?
 
learn to dock under sail Veg, everything else IS training wheels.
 
Simply put they make a higher than average quality production boat. They use proven hulls and interior designs that maximize every inch of the boat. I think the qaulity of the build is better than average.

At my dock the Sea Ray and Regal guys walk around like they are kings. But when they want to hang out and be comfortable they seem to always come to my boat.
