Would it wise to do both at the same time ? Are impellers part of the water pump ? From the Merc website it looks like they are.
 
I would do both.... or trade the boat in since u got a new gig now ...

I am going in 4/20 now, water in AYC is not on until 4/15.
Don, if you see Chuck, I have to change him from 4/7 to 4/15.
 
Dave......he was here for 2 days last week...helping with my coolers.....but there finished now. Best is to call and leave a message....he's starting to get busy.

Waters been on at AYC for two weeks now ... At least on C dock....

If u want i can lend u water to get u in sooner....

Why does A dock take so long to get water?
It ain't that long of a run!
Well, maybe it will come on early or I can run some hoses again. I need water to fire up the engines.

2 years ago I borrowed every hose I could find and ran like 400 ft over to S dock.
 
Dave..... if you just want to run the motors.....use a 110V submersible pump.....and pump water from the canal to the muffs on your drives. Is the electric on ?

I may have one if you need.
 
Yeah, i thought about that, I have a pool cover pump I can use.
Then I can fill the winterizing container with fresh water to flush them afterwards too.
 
Ok- So I am going to try to move from Pt Washington to Huntington at about 7AM in the morning-
straight into the slings- haul-out- clean bottom & paint/zincs/wheels/hull wax and maybe back in by wednesday PM

7:40 update - taking it easy on first run just past Hempstead harbor at 23 Knots-:D:D
 
Ok- Back at the house & time to get back to work- all went well and the boat ran great ;-)
