so you guys were right, you can actually swim in New England!

i was sckeptical about it, considering how cold the water was in early june but now it's actually pretty nice!

went for swim this morning to scrub the waterline and make sure the running gear was clean and found Nantucket waters to be about the same temp as what we get in So Fl. around Nov. or April. Not as cold as we get in January...

the only surprise was that I was covered with what looked like little shrimps when i got out (1 to 2MM long...)

Pascal - Shrinkage manifests it's self here in New England less so from July on. Same with eating a Lobsta - sweetest then. Hope you are enjoying all the best. Have fun with the Sea Monkeys - can't eat those however.........

Sea Monkeys, that's what they're called? they look like miniature shrimps!

took a while to rinse off, especially from my shorts. maybe I should wear a speedo.

never mind. :)

pls don't swim in our waters if ya got little beasties comin outta your shorts. :)

not sure if pet stores still sell sea monkies. when i ws a kid, they were like dehydrated brine shrimp. tear the packet open, empty contents in water, and a few days later ya got little shrimpies swimming about.

Scott, heading out in about an hour. Will pick up a moorign for the night. tomorrow night we'll be at the NYYC dock then heading out for a week. It's a charter, not "fun", although being committee boat for their annual cruise/regatta is going to be fun...

We'll be back on a mooring next saturday, i hope we can get together then, tonight and tomorrow is kind a crazy since we have to provision and get the boat ready

only if you enjoy formal boating. Do you have the blue lamp installed near the boarding ladder?

Pascal, let's plan to meet in Newport next weekend. I will bring the Family down on the boat and we can catch up if it works for you.
