...how can one day, Saturday, be so great and the next, Sunday, suck rocks?

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

It is called weather, and you're going to have it whether you want it or not [:-banghead]

John, you guys must have gotten rocked Saturday night. Did you stay over at Croton?

We moved to Bowline but even there we had nasty wind and lots of wave action. Should have went to south Croton or even stayed at the north side. At least there you don't have to wonder if the anchors will hold. Always have that crummy thought in the back of your mind that the bottom will spit up your anchor in Bowline. (Luckily not this time although the stern was a bitch.)

We were getting hit pretty hard at the marina, I wouldn't want to be out there relying on a anchor.

I was amazed at how suddenly it started to blow!

Did Jonathan stay with you?

Yup, we both faced the wind and won, this time. Did all the right things in terms of scope, multiple anchors, etc, but as you know Bowline can be a tough place to hold.

I'm guessing 45+mph gusts with 25-35 sustained.

Let's just say that I didn't wake up all happy and refreshed.

Between John's Delta and my small Fortress we we able to hold back mother nature and beat her down (this time!).

And to top it off, Monday, as usual is a perfect day.

Jonathan

Hey, it's not like we were having a picnic at the marina ---- oh, actually, we were: clams, shrimp, mussels, king crab, pasta, burgers, margaritas, wine, beer, cigars...

Our invitation musta got lost in the mail! ;)

But then again, a bad on the water beats a good day on land!

(I must have this boater disease REAL bad!)

I was in church all weekend for kids' First Communions - so I could have cared less [:-mischievous] . Now lets see what happens THIS weekend!!!

Tuesday 8:10 AM:

Feel the need for a little R&R.

Green Dock #70 may be just what the Dr ordered today :)

Just what the DR ordered!!

Got all electronics installed, the socket for aft table replaced, genny and a/c up and running, both engines checked out and started, and the fresh water system cleaned up.

Not bad for an old man. It's amazing what you can do in a day when you don't take time to socialize.

Good grief Butch, I hope you call "posting at 4:37AM" getting ready to go fishing! Just hope you are not up early from back pain...beautiful days we are having...G

No George, I was actually getting ready for work....yukkkkkkkkkkkk

Nothing like B.E. and Raisen Bran in the morning... Talk about incentive.

Hey Dan, how clean is the river starting to look up your way? We are coming up Sunday around 2, so at least I will have daylight in my favor. Went out for a test drive on a 34 Four Winns today and saw a telephone pole along with various other pieces of wood. How come you guys around Stony Point never complain about the crap in the river?
