If one should fly into South Bimini, is it difficult to get a ride(launch or local) to North Bimini???? Any one done that.???

Bahamas period com shows at least two taxi services that transport between the two. One lists $2.00/trip.

Easy search. The Bahamas wants your business and they make a great deal of info available on the net. Though, as with -any- destination, it is a good idea to verify any critical details... ( ie: call them. )

Hi Joe,

There are taxi's at the airport on S. Bimini meeting every flight arrival. They take you to the dock for the small ferry that takes you over to North Bimini.

It is quick, easy and not expensive.

Bill, Dave, Thanks for info. Never been on South Bimini, Dave How does it compare to N Bimini?

There's not a lot on South Bimini except the airport, a local neighborhood on a canal system, Bimini Sands Resort/marina, Scuba Bimini & a scattering of very small shops. The shark lab is off the beaten path and usually hosts a variety of research students and a scattering of lemon sharks. Getting a ride across is easy. There is a reliable ferry for locals & tourists and a lot of private boats running across the harbor. A year ago the ferry from the gov. dock to S. Bimini was $3 per person. Hopefully that didn't change much.

Anne, Nice to know you still look in on us. Thanks for info.

Anne, good to hear from you! i was wondering how you made it thru Omar... any problem with Blue Runner?

All is well here. Blue Runner is happy to be back at the dock. I sent you an email with a few pics of Omar aftermath. It was quite an adventure.
