On Engine Label .035
In Owner manual .040
In Aftermarket Clymer manual .040

Current Plan .040, think I remember .040...

I'm off the Champion RV91MC plug kick. This set is NGK BR6FS.

Current .040 Plan OK?

JD, check this site and input your info....should give proper plug in the brand you choose with proper gap..

Site came up .032. New plugs had about .025 gap. Called mechanic, said go with how the engine is labeled, .035. That's what I did.

I just visited that site and I found it strange that they advertise something about having all the Plugs in the world or something like that and yet they don't list or even carry MR43T AC Plugs which I thought were a pretty standard plug for Mercruiser 5.7 engines. ????
 
Sparkplugs.com does not carry AC Plugs
Seems kind of strange to me also
 
To add to the irony, when I called the mechanic about the gap for the new NGK plugs, he asked for the AC number (MR43T) to check the cross to NGK (BR6FS). At the time, he said he prefers the AC plugs but sent me to NGK because so many more places are NOT carrying AC.
Perhaps more irony, but AC stands for Albert CHAMPION...

Now that is an interesting bit of ironic trivia. You might think it could follow that Champion Spark Plug Co. was either one of Albert Champion's earlier companies or it was founded with someone with the initial's AC ( Albert Core?? yikes) or perhaps NGK(Nikita G Kruschev??), but, FWIW, brothers Robert (Sr.)& Frank Stranahan founded Champion S Plug.
