Does anyone know what Trojan's are ?

Trojan's are LONG n HARD, and come with the widest GIRTH. That's what makes them so BIG. When it sets out for an adventure it will always slide into it's port. It can take rocking and rolling as well as the pounding and come back for more. No matter what the ocean brings, a Trojan is ready.

Yup, that's what a Trojan is!

OK Wayne, here's a word (phrase) for you, SIX-PACK

A SIX-PACK is someone who spent long hours reading and taking tests to be come certified to operate vessels up to 100 tons with up to 6 passengers on it.

But I know someone who has a six-pack and fell out of a dingy and his 8 year old son needed to rescue him. What up wit dat?

No.. It was still tied to the dock in the water bunched together with a few others.

Leigh

I stopped by the marina just before the storm and I saw Rich out there doing everything he could to secure the boats that were still in, there was not much the could be done about this. Again sorry to hear of your loss!

Bob I like you definition of a Trojan! You forgot the ladies like men with Trojans, So remember without a Trojan the answer will be no!

Met the fiberglass guy at SPBM. Seems like a nice guy and I believe he is open for business. If you need work, you may want to get on the list. I don't think he has much going yet as most are waiting for checks. I hope he does well and does quality work.

What kind of credentials does he have? Is he up there with toxic John? IMO, fiberglass work is as much art as it is a science.

I have no idea about his work. His name is Tim Paul and the name of his company is "Think Fiberglass". Website - thinkfiberglassinc.com. He has a mobile fiberglass trailer inside the shed so I will draw a conclusion that he is not new to the business. That's all I know on the subject.

I have seen his van at our marina, doing work.

I have heard very good things about Think Fiberglass! I had an employee who used them a few years ago and was very happy with the work! This is actually very good news for all the boaters in the yard and for some of the smaller boats that can be towed there.
If I'm not mistaken there primary business is bathtub repair but I do know they have been doing boats as well.

I like the pictures of the showers they have done, but do not see any work on boats.

As for the fiberglass that needs repair on my boat, John will be working on mine within the next week or so. This is contingent of course on the weather. His work is the best in my opinion.

Given a choice, a bathtub re-finisher is not my first choice for boat repairs. John is second to none!

The problem is going to be that most will not have a choice. There is so much work to do, it is going to take many qualified glass folks to put people back in the water and to wait for one person may keep you dry for quite some time.

Can't really argue with your points Hank but waiting for the "head barber" is always worth it. (What TV series is that from BTW)
