Mystery Solved.

It's not a Marina party. It's a party at the marina for members, but you don't have to be a member. Hudson Water Club is hosting. It's not in any way associated with the Marina, it's just being held at the restaurant at the marina. There. It's settled.

When I called Haverstraw they said that you needed to call the restaurant for more information. It is a holiday party and not a marina holiday party, that explains why anyone can attend.

Didn't I say that up above?

I believe you did not.

How come it's not a "Christmas Party"?

Exactly! I like Christmas Parties. It's a politically correct BS world we live in. You know it's all Obamas fault.

Yea, the Marina Party was fun (and free). The Party at the marina sounds completely different.

(page 8 yet?)

Todd,
What's your point ?
SPBM's pool is open to the public also, but unlike Haverstraw marinas pool, SPBM is FREE!!!!!!!, anyone can go any time. They come by boat, taxi, walk in groups of 5,10 or whatever.

Only for those without a conscience!

As for the party I don't care who is throwing it I plan to be there and have a good time! With all we spend on boating during the season what's another $120 for a good time with friends? If it sucks I simply wont go again next year. As for a free party for members they do this too during the season and they did a nice job with that as well. BBQ, band a good time was had by all!

The transient rate is pretty reasonable as well.

I agree with you Dave. The marina party this summer was excellent and free and i will also be going this Friday. I'm just feeding the drama and taking pleasure in seeing somebody else get bashed besides SPBM. Perhaps we should choose one marina per week to pick on.

Not much bad I or many others could say about Haverstraw. That would be a very small thread, not like the close to 8 pages this one has become. SPBM tends to make some folks blood boil, and it gets some very interesting comments and opinions. Maybe a weekly topic on "how do you really feel about SPBM"....

Agree on Haverstraw. I'm very happy here. Did you know they hvae 17 feet at low tide? If you go back throigh these 8 pages, 3/4 is not even about SPBM and what is, is mostly the same thing over and over again.

I think that Dave said something once about the 17 feet at low tide. While 75% is not about Wayne and SPBM the subject line gets people reading and posting. Maybe every thread topic should begin with SPBM?? Like "SPBM - I Pulled Out Early". This way we will have a lot more to read over the winter months...

I, for one, can honestly say that I have never heard Dave mention anything about the depth of the water at Haverstraw. He only talks about the great view he has there.

Btw-all this talk about some other boats getting destroyed, we failed to mention your loss Bill. I know you and your family loved your boat and I'm sorry that it came to this but good luck on your next purchase.

Bill before you purchase your next boat, check with Haverstraw Marina if they have deep water to accommodate you.

Hank's point was that the Beer wine and soda was only during cocktail hour he knows dinner was included.

Do you normally speak for people?

Wait...where is it being held and who's party is it? Can I pay by check? I forgot to RSVP. Can I still go?

Don't worry Audrey made the reservation for you and our table.

Bill I just noticed your signature very sad to see! Kind of makes it real.

So ... how 'bout that dredging?
