SPBM

9. Woo Hoo!

Hank,
No Ilene and I have been fighting colds is week. Plus I was waiting for SPBM party.

Too bad. I will report in in the morning as to how the event went. If air hance I will be posting on page 10. What if you have sub zero freezer, can you run your genny all night to keep her coulda.

Nope, but you will be fine. Your Hagen Daz may get soft but you will be good till morning.

Come to think of it, you may need to go back to the dock for power. Oh but wait, make sure you check the tide first.

Also sure the non union utility workers can get to the power you need as well.

Not only were there no plates, napkins, forks etc. But unless you wanted to drink beer you were SOL. It made for a real family party, pig roast, bare hand eating and beer. We took one look at what was offered, and went out to dinner. It sounds like a joke but it did generate a long discussion thread on boatered. Hummm that may have been some of the reason I elected to migrate to Haverstraw....

When my boat is away from the dock then genny is on. I have no choice unless I want things like my food to go bad.

No sickly people allowed for martinis!

I bet they tasted good!

In the spirit of the Christmas season, we had eggnog martinis - and yes, they were delicious!

I really can't grasp why someone would throw a party like that. I mean, if you really don't want to do it...then don't. Don't throw a half hearted (half assed) party. That's kind of insulting . Crazy stories come out of that place. You guys won't see nutty stuff like that at Haverstraw.

Or at PBM!

Certainly would not see that kind of "party" at PB!!! The parties at PB have always been great, both with the old and new owners.

The party last night was very nice! Great food, band and best of all company!
I think we should do this more often.

It was a great event and I have to say, the food kept coming at cocktail hour and dinner and the band we excellent. I hope next year they can do a better job marketing the event. If more people knew about it, they could have done much better. Oh......and it's always great to spend time with my boating friends. Next year we will require a much bigger table.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the evening. Guess we will have to wait till next year.
