SPBM

Four thirty is late on a work night? Oh man, you are getting old. I would have come out earlier but it was too windy.

If its who I think it was they are still at PBM. Looked at a few marinas and decided to stay. I believe his original slip may be finished in the near future.

Im not sure who it was then. We have lost a few people. But then we have also seen new ones. it happens every year. I know as long as they can handle my boat I will still be there. I am very happy with the atmosphere there and the service is one of the best you could ask for.

Yeah it just sucks being at a marina that is a resort. You guys are better off not being here... We would not want you to suffer like the rest of us!

Bob. They just don't get it. It's actually cheaper to keep your boat at Haverstraw if you calculate the "useable" hours that your boat is available. To be conservative most have to wait 2 hours on either side of low tide times 2 low tides that's 8 hours per day their boats are not available for full use. That means you get thirty percent more for your money at Haverstraw.

Old habits die hard! I was very happy at SPBM for many years when I had a smaller boat, once I moved into a larger boat the tides became a much bigger issue but we had made such good friends it was hard to leave. I finally decided enough was enough and said I was moving and soon as I did several others said they were going to leave as well some can with me and some went elsewhere. None are coming back anytime soon. Todd I know it's hard to accept but you would be very happy here but no one is going to beg you to come when you are ready you too will see the light and I'm sure when you do you will be happy and never look back!

Picking your marina is like picking our wives. Not everything is perfect but other things make up for it. Now everyone read this so I can delete it before Caryl sees it.

If that's the case, you guys who never leave the dock at Haverstraw are paying a fortune because you have zero "useable hours". At least Hank leaves the dock once in a while, even though it usually is at the end of the day on Sunday when everyone else is going home...

I was there when he left and still there when he came home. I was busy sanding my radar arch I'm tired of the bubbling paint! I was planning on having the yard touch it up during the off season but Sandy put an end to that. I started two days ago and it's going slowly but it will get done. I may head up tomorrow and do some more. I not working during the day being I have to work all night again.

The only reason I look back since I moved the Boat to HM is because there is a beautiful 440 express behind me. No also a few slips down the dock on my right!!! Mike we are scared going out at high tide, too much water!!! :-)

I find that funny calling it a resort.

I find it funny calling SPBM a marina. I guess you never really go out on vacation much. You would then see what a true resort marina is like.

Bob I have been to resorts and if you are calling Haverstraw a resort after coming back from a trip to Hawai which i would call a resort.

Why were you guys members in SPBM so long then?

At the time it was the people who were there, also a different owner.

After you get it sanded, what are you painting it with? Are you doing both sides?
