I was quoted $45 per foot for soda blasting and repainting. I never spoke to the yard I think they might by less but I had the bottom sanded to the gel coat and started fresh. I paid over $1000 to sand it I don't remember exactly what it cost but then there 5 or 6 can of barrier paint and two cans of blue then 3 cans of black. This was not a cheap project and you don't want to cut corners so wait until it's in the budget.
Be aware that there will be holes and voids in the hull that will need to be fixed after a blasting job. Most boats get this after a blasting job, have to add that into the price as well.
If you have blister this is when it will show! I had mine sanded and I had no damage at all. If I had the extra money I would have had it soda blasted.
Mike no one is hiding, we are all at SPBM watching the large dredging machine work around all the new docks. It is too cold to text on our smart phones with gloves on..... I hear that tomorrow they will start paving the entire parking lot to get ready for the RV's.
My dining room is slowly filling up with boxes of things to install on our "new" boat. At this rate I'll either run out of money or need the entire boating season to install stuff.
