Todd, yes they are. Supposedly the same type of docks as we have in Liberty Landing.

IMO as long as they use extra tall pilings they would have held up much better. We have very high, metal pilings at Liberty Landing and as long as the docks stay below the top things tend to hold together pretty well. That's based on the last 2 hurricanes.

Is it true they are putting in floating docks?

Yes they signed a contract with Sullivan Floatation Systems and work has begun.

Same IPE hardwood decking on the docks as Liberty, same docks with the cornet gusset for the dock boxes too. 4 foot wide fingers for most of the docks with 3 foot wide for the 30 foot fingers. My finger will be 50' just the same as Liberty Landing.

Should be very nice when it is completed.

Can't wait to go down, and the best part, I now don't have to plan the tide leaving or coming home. IT"S THE LITTLE THINGS

You will love Haverstraw Wayne. I think someone here said they have 17 feet of water under the boat at low tide.... And it is not just the deep water that makes it nice...

The only thing about Haverstraw I didn't like was the aluminum docks being noisy, the very long walk to the car, and well the service at the restaurant.

The aluminium docks tend to get VERY hot. Keep in mind if you have dogs, can burn their feet. We used to keep a hose handy to wet down the dock and cool it when our dogs were outside.

Being at the end of the dock on Blue dock there is no traffic of people so no noise from the dock. Also the docks at the end are not the same as the rest of blue and they are very sturdy and quite. I have seen a lot of the Dogs ware socks or being transported in a stroller or even better in the dinghy :-)

Mine ride in a stroller when they are tired of walking. Happens when your legs are only a few inches long. LOL

I'm thinking it could be an issue for male dachshunds and hounds.

17 ft of water under your boat? They didn't tell me this when I offered to put a deposit down for a slip in July. What the hell am I going to do if I drop my keys in the water or anything else? I'm starting not to like this idea! Thank god I don't have a dog, or else it's a deal breaker. Next your going to tell me they have a fuel dock and working pump out.

Hey fellas. . How's it going up there? I was scheduled to leave for Florida on Saturday but got out of Dodge yesterday instead. It's a little to hot on the golf course down here. Temp today will be up to 86. However, unfortunately we will also be getting a cold snap tomorrow. They are calling for the temperature to plummet to 78.

Progress on the fuel dock
