I noticed that they are dumping fill dirt in the parking lot of SPBM. Is that the material there removing from the slip area to give their boaters deeper water ?

Maybe they are getting ready to break ground on the condos? I haven't heard anything about dredging at this time but if they had deep water I don't thing they would have any open slips.

The fill dirt is being trucked in. It isn't from dredging. They are filling in along the fence where it's low and water collects.

HM rates are low compared to other deep water marinas in the area.

The fill dirt glows at night, take a look !

The only other deep water marina in the area is MYC, and it's MUCH cheaper than HM

How come Patsy's and Pennybridge don't get critisized for not dredging only SPBM. They are all shallow at low tide. Disclosure: I have no financial or other interest in SPBM. I just keep my boat there.

I can only speak for PBM, and it does not get criticized because it is the most awesome, well run, friendliest marina on the east coast.

If only they had water a pool and maybe a restaurant oh and longer fingers you know what it will never compare to Haverstraw too many if only items:)

I don't need a pool, the finger for my boat is plenty long, I don't want a restaurant on premises that brings in outsiders, if it had deep water, it would be perfect.

For me, the positives outweigh having loud, hot metal docks, having to park 1/4 mile from my boat, and being charged twice as much.

Having the owners and the best mechanics around, on site, is priceless.

Patsy's and Pennybridge have very nice owners. When they say something they do it, unlike other Marina Owners that promise you all these improvements and do nothing.
This week I understand SPBM lost 4 boats that went to Patsy's Bay.

New management in SPBM and they have done everything they promised this year, fixed security gate and also are using pool badges like it was years ago. Have no complaints and water issue does not bother me.

Also heard from past member that there was a group of shady people hanging in haverstraw parking lot and would not let their children go to parking lot alone. I guess no where is perfect.

New management? Who did they get now?

Pool, deep water, parking lot bla bla bla.... what really matter is the company around your boat, where ever you are. If you are happy with that then your marina is better than other marinas. I am very happy other than one rude guy.

I know this is off topic, but, does anyone know where I can dump some contaminated soil in Stony point?
