I just bought a used 1999 Monterey 262 cruiser and the survey revealed that the speedometer runs 7 to 8 mph slow according to his GPS. It also doesn't register much of anything until I hit what feels like at least 20 mph.
Could this be the water level sensor, cable, gayge or all of the above? It shouldn't be that big of a deal, but it bugs the crap out of me that it's so inaccurate. My guess is that this should be pretty easy to replace. Has anyone ever done this before?
