Bottom gets done every other year. This years a by year. Jay my only concern is wind.... With no other boats on the dock , The floater gets some serious roll going in a west wind!!
Wow, March 7th, that's dedicated! Do you have block heaters? Supposed to go down to about 12 degrees tonight and you have less than 2 weeks to go. I think I'd rather stay winterized a little longer.
I'm not in a rush to go in this year. My boat is in Massachusetts getting a new hardtop. I figure I'll go in at the beginning of May and keep the boat out at Montauk for the month of May and do some fishing out there. I don't think it pays to go earlier than that, won't be much to fish for yet.
Splash?? Boat is in the water 24/7/365. Ok,,maybe not 365,,,360. Little boat with go in whenever they want to do it, but its a center console so April/May works.
Also in the water all year. I will commission and move to my summer spot around March 19th. It was not the same at my new marina, there was no incentive to go down and hang out like I did at the LIYC. For the Winter they moved me closer to the working part of the yard and there are boats on land behind my boat so it not the same feeling as before. I think next year I may just go up on the hard for the winter.
