Your response is timely. I’ve been going back and forth about staying in at my dock next year. Most of the bigger boats on my canal stay in, wrap in the water with a door, and then come out for a late Spring short haul.
Admittedly, most of them live on the canal and I don’t.
It sure would be nice to stay plugged in to my own electric at my own dock and take advantage of the boat on semi warm winter days. Maybe hang out once in a while with some take out, a little electric heater going and watch a movie or something.
I’ve been trying to plug in for a day or so every couple of weeks in the boatyard just to keep the batteries topped off but someone keeps unplugging me.
Went and plugged in Saturday afternoon, came back Sunday to find I was unplugged. Not sure when I got unplugged, so I plugged it back in. Went to unplug it today and found it unplugged again.
Came home swearing I was staying in next year because of this annoyance, came on this forum, and read your post.
Now I’m up in the air again.
