Hi All: rReceived an email yesterday from SS3. They are having what is called a "Showroom Raft Up" at SS3 Copiague Showroom, March 10th from 3-7PM. Could be fun. Anyone else receive this email? If anyone wants it I can forward the email to you. Just email me your email address and I will forward the email to you. How many times can you use the word email in a sentence :)
 
Yup....I got it too. I went there a few years ago when they had it.... wasn't bad. I'm off that weekend.....so I'll be there again this year.

The Salesmen know many of the customers who attend and they may have sold them boats in the past. I bought 2 new over the last 5 years, a 280 and 320.

They know the players; there are mostly 3 types…. Lookers, Buyers and Almost Ready Buyers, they can sense all 3. The “almost ready buyer” is a wide group and I fall into as do many, so they tend to work you hard to move you into the buyer class for a sale.

Its fun trying to get the best deal, if it works out you talk to your bank, if not you leave with them scratching their heads.

No harm… Just a fun day boat searching, buying or not.

So for the Sales guy it is hit or miss. Maybe not Torured or Teased but when they can taste a sale the adrenaline must be high.

Since I am back to work again, that 40 Sundancer is looking good. But not in the budget this year.... shhhh don't tell Paul M. My Salesman... I get a better tour, if he thinks I am a buyer ;)
 
Yeah.... I've bought 4 used boats over the past few years from them ......I'm just a used boat buyer...no new for me. I'll go to see what came in on trade over the past few boat shows....but doubt we can make a deal......no harm just bust chops.....enjoy a day looking.

Thanks Don, I actually start my new job in NYC on Tuesday after president’s day. I was hoping to get a new position on the Island, things just started to turn around on the job market, even on Long Island. But as they say “a bird in the hand” Needed to get back to work sooner than later.

I was able to negotiate my 7/12-7/23 vacation to Block, Essex, Fishers and a couple of other stops.

Oh… Did I say Block Island… Now I owe you 2 more beers !!!!
 
Hi: Now I get it. I guess since I just bought the 97 400DA, I fall into the "don't ask me I just bought a boat from you guys. Now where's the free wine and cheese?" category. Yep, pretty sure we'll be going just need to checkwith the asniral first. Not to change the topic but is anyone interested in the nav classes they are giving the end of this month at the delivery center?

Not bad....... free drinks and food....they gave away gifts ( remote control boats/cars...T shirts....hats...beach stuff.....etc.) all day. Showroom full of people and boats.
Nice way to spend a few hours...............

Did the wrap come off ????????????

The weather this week keeps getting better and better

We are going to be so screwed at work..... having to switch like 50 buildings from heat to a/c in just a few days ... sucks...

Some take all day just to do one.... not goingto be pretty.... Usually takes 2 weeks to do it right.....

then if it gets cold... got to drain em all down.....

fun fun.... but its a job...

Was at Showroom Raft-up too. Had a chance to meet up with Don and a friend (sorry Don, don't remember his name). Not a bad time. Food was catered in. Also had a frozen margarita machine. All in all, not to bad for MM. Looking forward to there 2 day mothers' day weekend rendezvous to watch hill. Anybody else going to make it?
BTW, shrink wrap came off this past week and not it's going to snow tomorrow. Ain't that the pits???
Read about your isengla Robski. Sorry to hear. have you done anything about it. Did you try talking to Tony at AMC to see if it was at all salvagable?

Tony is the go to guy.... ill have to wait for the weather to clear and see his schedule ... ill need it back sorta same day.....

Still pissed about it ....
