I have some oxidation on the Admirals baby Whaler I need to remove. Some guys in a Whaler group claim this is the best and easiest stuff they have ever used. I normally use Meguiar’s products but thinking I might give this stuff a run. Anyone here ever use it?

I don't have any experience with this product but sounds like it's similar to the 3M Heavy Duty compound, which is what I use if I'm dealing really bad oxidation.
For light oxidation I use Finesse It II. I see they also have a similar product Starke Finish R

Having said that, I've generally given new products a shot when I see good reviews on boating sites.
 
I use Meguiar's also. Are the ingredients different? Sometimes it's the same stuff, different brand.
 
The reviews I read claimed easier application and really nice finish that took the wax easier as well. I did not compare ingredients and had not noticed the Starke Finish R that Bob pointed out. I'm a sucker for trying new things...😁
 
You're not the only one; I'm still looking for a vinyl/plastic/rubber restorer/protectorant for vehicle trim and mirror housings

The SWFL heat just cooks the crap out of plastic and rubber. Trying new stuff from Garage Bulls later today.
 
You guys seem to ignore the fact that all those products require a significant amount of elbow grease - which is NOT included in the bottle!

I've had good results restoring most trim using Mothers Back to Black product. Can't recall which trim it didn't work on.

Found a product that worked fine, until it rained. It left streaks over a foot long, had to buff them out.

Not tried Garage Bulls yet because label says not to wash it for 96 hours. The daily rains down here would ruin any effort right now.

I may have tried Mothers in the past, but can't remember why I quit.. 🤔
 
Your experience reminds me of the first time I waxed the panels on our new ETEC. I mistakenly got a little on a spot of the surrounding material and 8 years later the white residue is still there. I've tried several cleaners but haven't found anything to remove it. ;)
 
I've finally learned to use masking tape when waxing to prevent the issue you mention.

Like my grandpa told me 50+ years ago, "When you learn things the hard way, the lesson will stay with you longer." He was right..
 
My detailer started using starke products on my boat, and it brings back shine to original 1988 paint. Great products.
 
I do almost everything myself, even things ( most actually) that I’m not at all qualified to do. But I pay some guy every year to do the compounding, waxing, etc. He uses products from smoov. I’m guessing every detailer has their favorites, but in the end the products are almost identical.

CeraKote is the only thing that worked on my 20 y/o F150 front bumper plastic. Everything else quickly streaked, after rains.

The restorer from Garage Bulls works very well, but it needs a couple of days of dry weather to avoid streaking after a rain.

I'll use it again.
