So, here I am running along on a Sat afternoon on L. Erie. Temps were OK, clear skies, waves weren't even two feet. Normally on a day like that you'd be able to walk from the mainland across to Canada on all the fiberglass out there. Not yesterday. There wasn't even 1/3rd of the boats I expected to see.
I'm wondering if these gas prices are slowing people down, or if everyone is just waiting till Memorial Day this year to get out. The marina was busy - lots of would-be boaters hanging out at the docks talking about going out one day - but on the lake it looked like a weekday afternoon.
Who knows, maybe there's an upside to $3.00 + a gallon
