Just returned from vacation and the station wagon effect has once again made me loopy. '75 30' Tolly, exhaust exits straight out the transom with flappers.

I've done what others have suggested; opened forward hatch, cabin windows, rear slider door, but this does not seem to correct the problem.

A mechanic suggested adding tubing onto the exhaust ports (extending it) and then putting the flappers onto that end. My transom step is very close to the water and worried about the exhaust tube and flapper being submerged all of the time while idling or going slow. If submerged, would this not restrict the flow of exhaust or would it help to correct my problem?

Also, regarding the rear slider, is it better to close them partially to creat a pressure area for the fresh air coming from the forward area, or just leave them wide open?
