25 years of my boating experience was in Europe, Adriatic sea and Lake of Constance, Germany.
All things here seems alike, but: I never saw people dock their boat "stern only" the way it is done in the Delta.
Boats are just tied to the landing stage with springs port and starbord. Why don't they use the bow anchor? Any reason?
It seems with the spring rope they need even more space as going alongside.
