Have you checked / replaced the thruster anode regularly well before it is gone to help keep the shaft from corroding off?
You didn't say what you have, but Vetus says replace anode at least once a year and any time it looks more than 1/2 gone.

If yours employs a cotter pin outside the propshaft nuts & if that was not secured properly, the prop can be lost.
No matter what, if there is really no flow , it sounds like you or your diver should be going for an inspection dip unless you have an U/W camera you can lower to see if it looks intact externally.

Sounds like the motor is running but the prop isn't. Either the prop is gone or the key or maybe an issue with the gear between the motor shaft and prop shaft

I have Side-Power Thrusters. They use a small shear pin that is easily replaced from inside the boat. There is usually a spare attached. If it is broken, it will be obvious. It's very easy to check and replace on a bow thruster. A little tougher on a stern thruster because of the location and it's ignition protected. You didn't say what kind you have but check the manual to see if there is a shear pin on the drive shaft.
