Anyone ever tow their boat over Storm King?

I have only been towing my boat a handfull of times, and am still getting used to it. I have to head in that direction, and was always worried about pulling a boat over the mountain, as I have never seen anyone pulling a boat on that stretch of raod. It is pretty steep and several miles.

Thanks,
MJK

Yes, it's actually 9W. You are thinking the road that winds around the mountain. 9W goes over the mountain.

OK, I was thinking about route 208.

I have towed a 250 (1990 so as to relate the size accurately the model is smaller now from what I've seen) sundancer from Kgn down 9w to stony point. I did NOT take storm king. However, 9w by itself is a challenge. Presumably you are headed to the yacht club in Cornwall? If so getting there from the north probably isn't so bad, just tight in a few places that's all.

I'm headed to Stony Point from Cornwall. I am putting the boat and trailer down at Bamar. I could go 32, but can I go through Harriman with a trailer? Otherwise I would have to go 32 to Thruway to suffern and down 202. (Route 6 is not much better than SK)

You might consider asking the state trooper office in that area what the best route is.
Good Luck.
