Stringer rot on 86-88 23 cc

I am looking to purchase a late 80's 23cc and the last 5 i saw had rotten stringers located under the port side panel for battery access. the stbd side had delamination from water intrusion. this appears to be a common problem can any current owners confirm. I love the layout but now i might start looking at a different make.

It is very common for SRs of that vintage. In fact, it is unusual to find one that is free of rot. In fairness many of the popular production boats of that era have the same issues.
