I have a 5.0FI ford / volvo penta. My Oil pan has developed a small leak. I believe it happened when I was changing the manifolds and I moved the dipstick around. I can feel a little rust under the fitting where the dipstick attaches to where the plug used to be, and that is where it is leaking. I know I need a new pan but I would like to try to patch it to buy me some time.
Im looking for suggestions on what product to use. Im thinking about JB weld.
I am told that the motor cant be lifted without pulling the drive which means I have to have the boat hauled out $$$$$.Any thoughts on that??
