The kids are asking for sunglasses...ages 13 & 12.

I know we have talked about which brand is best for adults...but kids tend to loose and break things pretty easily.

Do you guys outfit the kids with the basic chain store selections ( Basically $10.00 plastic pairs) or spring for the higher priced name brands that adults may use?

Unless there is some basic visual problem (would harm their eyes? ask an opthamologist) with the cheap sun glasses I would certainly get those.

yea buy them the 200 dollar ones why not.

After they loose them, just buy another set of 200 dollar ones why not.

AF, there are some decent UVA & UVB protected , polarized, sunglasses available for 10-15 pair.
Check with boat fix first, and if they don't carry them check with the texas fishing forum.
Protect their eyes, and no big deal if they lose or break a pair.

My 4 yo son has a pair in each car; one baseball and one Disney. They were a couple bucks each, but are both rated to block UVA and UVB rays so they're good enough. That's all you really need at that age.

I would try and get a cheap pair of UV rated glasses. They are going to get lost or broken, they just will. I wouldn't buy Costas are Maui's for my children.
