I love my 30' Chaparral. She kicked ass while heading home from the Channel Club yesterday. It took to the storm as we all held on between Sandy Hook and the Verrazano bridge at 3:30pm in the crazy storm, (whatever you want to call it). Way to go!
 
It ran so well because you got all the barnacles power washed off!
 
Actually that would be the 2nd reason. PBM="sandbox" We have been caught in much worse weather like conditions but the winds were crazy.
 
We must have been right there with you. We were heading back from Atlantic City, we were just a little ways out from the bridge when it hit. Heard all the radio calls for assistance. A boat lost power right by the statue, guy missing in the sound, capsized boats by the shore. We did ok, but almost lost our bow sun pad with the wind.
