Well, here up north there will not be as much Super Bowl / boat related activities, but I am sure in the south there will be. Since it is a beautiful sunny day, we will have a couple of cocktails on my boat before heading up to the LIYC club house for our annual Super Bowl Party. Go Giants !!!

What are you guys doing or what did you do? Will there be Alka Seltzer in the immediate future?

Well not super bowl related......but....I went to North Shore Yacht Sales in Mattituck this morning....with a buddy of mine....to sea trial a 1999 Aquasport 175 C/C...he wants for a second boat. The bay was flat and the ride was fun!!!!. Nice little boat too. He'll be bringing the boat home in 3 weeks.
Now its time to go to work & watch the game !!!!.

does everyone else find it mildly ironic that Radiowaves spelled "super bowl" as "super bowel"??

Based on the diet most consume during super bowl parties, perhaps super bowel is not such a bad name....

I would not change the spelling without stating, woops... [:-irked] The Giants WON... Yes and double Yes... [:-thumbu][:-thumbu][:-thumbu][:-thumbu]

Im not a football fan but was a great game. WE went to Holbrook for the game where my buddy stores his boat on his property( boat related post ) Massive accident On the LIE last nite around exit 50. All east bound lanes were closed. They had the helicopter there.... Hope everyone was ok..

Was a LONG RIDE HOME ...

Rob

....... a helicopter is usually not a good sign.

I took a sick day today... too much fun watching the Giants win !

The house is quiet and the cats are happy for some attention. It's been a while since I had day to just hang at the house, the wife is working, and will be home for lunch, no more city job for her.

Cable channel # 94 has been running on and off all morning ;)

OH BOY...OH BOY......do I miss my " quiet time "....my wife took a sabbatical ( paid time off from work to stay home and bust chops ) from 2/1 thru 9/1... :( :( :(
Never realized how small our house is !!!!

Good side..........it will be easy to plan boat trips this summer. :) :) :)

I used to work at 26 Bway in the early to mid 80's - Lots of parades !! Everything from Olympics to the Pope.

Have fun.... Post a picture....

Lucy,
How many people can u fit in ur office ???

: )

When I got off the train at Penn station at 7:40AM, I felt like it was game time. There were more Giant fans around with every Giant color, I could not believe how early. There seems to be more unity with Football fans than Baseball. Sort of like us boaters…. Super Tuesday will have more than one meaning this year... I bet there will be a few early stumbles....

Well, I have finally relaxed from all the hoopla this morning. People were starting to line up on Broadway (my office is 39 Broadway) at 7:30 am, and the cheering started and never stopped. Everyone went insane when the floats started moving north! All the offices with windows along the street were throwing their shredding, toilet paper, confetti, etc. What a great experience. Now the sanitation workers are cleaning up (the street is so white from all the paper it looks like a blizzard). Back to work for me.
