One last note on the survey reflected that the fuel fill hoses were crazed and they should be replaced. I want to go out and look for myself and I am assuming they are referring to a cracked outer jacket on the fuel fill hose. Can I assume I can easily detect this condition by visual observation?

How old is the boat?

Do you have easy access to look at the file hoses?

Don't worry about asking too many questions...keep them coming!!

Good Luck

Yeah, what year is the boat and if needed, when were the fuel lines replaced with alcohol compliant.

I thought fill hoses should have a rough surface, but I may be thinking about cooling system hoses.

crazing to me means that the coating has dried out and cracks are starting to form. Look for them at any sharp bend

Whenever I buy a used boat I always replace the fuel fill and vent lines and any other fuel lines I can get to. It's not cheap or easy most times but worth every $$.

I hope this isn`t the last question. It's the end of January and there`s nothing going on (boating wise).
