I have a 3060 with twin Volvo 5.0 GXI and duoprops. The boat came with F5 series props. After loading the boat with supplies, I noticed that the RPM's do not get in the upper range. (4300-4400 RPM MAX )

I observed several other duoprop owners, on line mentioning the same problems after they took delivery and loaded their boats with normal supplies.

Has anyone re-propped a duoprop?

See if your local VP dealer has a set of test props F4's you can try. See if that resolves your performance issue. It's not good to overload the engines and drives with too much pitch in your props.

Just remember, boats like the rest of us, gain a lil' weight as they grow older! *lol*

I have a 23ft regal b/w with 5.0Fi - 220hp/duo-props with F6's. Loaded I could not get over 3,000 rpm. Unloaded I could reach 3400. I downsized to F4's and she runs great. Loaded now maxes at 4000rpm with a speed of 35(gps) Haven't been able to try the unloaded yet. Also, now jumps out of water with double tubers where could hardly get going previously..

Sounds like the solution for me. Where did you get the F-4's?
