Larson 23' Deck Boat; 5.7 Liter Volvo IO;SX Cobra Outdrive; 150 hrs
Several weeks ago my Trim gauge pegged out showing outdrive was all the way in the up position and won't move. I haven't been able to solve that problem but it's not my main concern now. This past Sunday, after being out all day for a season starting test run (everything but the gauge worked perfectly) I trailered the boat, put the trim up and took the boat home. When I went to drop the outdrive for flushing nothing worked. The outdrive will not move.
I have very little knowledge about the trim mechanism but I know that usually most things with a boat are simple (a fuse, loose wire etc.) so I want to troubleshoot before going through the expense of taking it to a shop.
I had plans to take the entire family out during Memorial Day weekend. Looks like some dissappointed kids and grand kids if I don't solve this problem.
Question is two fold: Is there a fuse that could have blown and if so where and what do you suggest I do first to ascertain the problem?
