There is a band playing at Tanner park that a friend wants to go listen to. Is it possible to anchor close to the park to listen to the band from the water?
 
Which band is going to play? My friend Mimi plays there often with her band.........they're awesome and put on a good show!
 
Tanner is a big park, so I guess it depends on where they are going to play. If its by the beach, it would depend on wind direction. There is pretty good water in that area, hopefully you can luck out.

Speaking of bands, Rich Mahogany is playing at Kismet on Saturday. Good local, multi-piece group.
 
yes you can hear the band and many boaters come and drop the hook right off the beach behind the bandstand.
 
If you float down the canal to the west of the band shell .....you will be able to see the band also.

I think they are a U2 cover band. I am not sure of the name of the band.
 
I took the boat to the beach behind the stage today and kicked up quite a bit of mud when I tried to get close to beach. I did not attempt to go up the canal to the west of the park, as Don recommends. Looks like weather may not be good Wed night for this U2 cover band, but we may try it at a later date.
