Does anyone have a contact or supplier for holly and teak flooring? I want to do some upgrades this winter and love the look of those floors.
Thanks!

Where do you live? Delaware County Supply(in Chichester,PA) ordered some marine plywood for me from a catalog a few years ago. The same supplier also had a teak and holly veneered plywood.

The only issue is going to be that you need to be a business to buy there. You can PM me if you need to become an employee. :-)

I am just looking for Teak wood for projects such as cup holders. My normal supplier, www.halllumber.com does not carry teak.

A good supplier I found for exotic woods that has some great lumber is Boulter Plywood. They carry teak and holly and teak and rubber ply. They certainly have some great teak even though they do not list it on the web site. Give them a call.

I also have a great wood supplier near me who might have some teak. Give them a call.

Try a Tiara dealer...their teak and holly is beautiful

If all you need is the look, then Vinyl flooring might just fill the bill. Lot easier and unless you have a OCD friend you would not be able to tell the difference. Look up at www.welcome-aboard.com

If you are looking for small pieces for cupholders and the like there is a furniture place in Annapolis that sells the pieces they can't use for the furniture, to short, etc.. All top quality and they sell cheaply since they already got what they need out of it. I don't remember the name of it but it is on the street where all the shops are as you go up the hill towards the circle it is on the left side. Hope this helps.

Craig-
I pulled up an old teak parquet floor last year and replaced it with Amtico Vinyl strip flooring. I used the teak 2" with 1/4" light (holly look)strips between. I think it looks very good. Not quick/easy, but definitely a DIY job. It's durable and easy to clean. Seems to be the standard on the new Hatteras's (galley's/ heads, etc) as well as several other upper end brands.

Google Amtico and you can see what they offer- different woods, colors, widths, etc. I mail ordered mine from info I saw on the web.

If you want to see it, I'm 3 boats off your stbd side at HN. Regards, Jim

Jim,

Thanks for the info and invite. I was down there Sunday morning taking a look around. Look forward to meeting you.
