I've had a broken zipper on one of my canvas panels since April that someone else was supposed to fix. Got tired of waiting so called John (who made my canvas) and asked if he could help. I called him on Tuesday & he told me to bring it over Saturday. I was a bit nervous because once I took it off I would never be able to get it back on unless it was fixed and the next was supposed to rain. Well 45 minutes after walking into his shop it was fixed good as new AND he cleaned the Strataglass for me better than I ever have!!

We are always posting our issues, just wanted to post a good experience. I've used John for multiple projects over the years, he has never let me down, his work is always top notch, he stands by his work, has made adjustments I've asked for with no issue (or charge) and he often goes above and beyond!!

So thank you John!! We truly appreciate you!!

Glad to hear this! I asked him to make me a cushion 2 years ago and I'm still waiting, I gave up and decided I really don't need it. I have used him many times in the past and while I was happy with the work it was never done on time.

Again glad to hear he took care of you.

Did you ask him what the issue was? Honestly, I'm not going to say he is always the fastest but for me he has always done wonderful work. I have used a gentleman everyone ravs about and his work was awful. Maybe it was just a one off or something, it does happen, but for me, I'll stick with John. Like I said, he has always come through for me without exception and it is greatly appreciated!

As I said he has done plenty of work for me and I was happy with the work he did. He redid just about everything on my last boat. I had him replace the upholstery both inside and out of my last boat. He did the canvas he made my carpet I would say I spent well over 10k with him over the years and I was happy with the work. I had him make carpet covers for my current boat as well but when I want something and ask him for a price he drags his feet and I don't want to wait, boating season is too short to wait! I asked him for a price to do my canvas a couple of years ago it took three weeks to get a price by that time I had already hired someone else for less money.
I like John he is a nice guy that does decent work and I'm happy to hear when others are happy with the work he has done but for every good story there has been another that has made me think about ever using him again.

He recently did a bit of work for several boats on my dock and most of them have been happy with the work maybe he is getting better, I think he was over whelmed with work after Sandy and made a lot of promises he couldn't keep.

He did my winter cover and my carpets, it took a long time but he did a good job. Recently he did my bow cushion cover and helm cover and did it in good price and with in the time frame we agreed. Doing this on time is very important, as important as doing a good job. he also fixed some broken stitches on my camper on the spot, if he can keep delivering his service on time and he promises he is on the rise for sure as no one has issues with the actual work.
Keep it up John.

I glad to hear he won you over because last year I thought you were going to make him a not pair of shoes:)

well you know exactly how i felt last year, you also know how I handled it. I don't want to just criticize.

I have always been pleased with his work. Big jobs take some time but the results are worth it.

I travel from Port Washington NY to give him work.

I've been using this guys who owns a Trojan and in our Marina for years....the work he does looks great all the time, and what he charges me is insane. It's as iif he was doing it for free just for me......it may take a little longer than I would like but the price is right...

This clown has been promising to do my cushions for over a year now, all talk, no action...

That was my last winter project and guess what it came out great but then I had it done across the river.
