I'm still waiting for my swim platform before I can launch but it's getting closer. I'm feeling very anxious I was told the platform would be completed yesterday and ready for shipping today, I didn't have a chance to call but I'll be checking on this today.
Bottom paint should be done this weekend and polishing should be close to complete by end of the weekend weather permitting.
I'm guessing I have about two weeks left it can't come soon enough.

How about you are you on schedule when are you going in?

I'm getting this crap tonight. [:-banghead]. I wanted to be in by April 15th.

Tonight: Snow flurries and snow showers. Low 34F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 80%.

Been in for a while, just over a year. Engines fired right up after 4 months of no use. Love the smell of diesel in the morning...

Did you all have to rub it in.
I just spoke to the man about my platform he is running a few days behind.

You can almost guarantee that a few days will run into a week and possibly more.

I hate to say it but John is probably being optimistic.

The work is just about done it should ship on Tues or Wed. If it takes a little longer such is life. I asked him to send me pictures so I can see the progress, he said he would email them on Monday. If the weather is going to be like this I'm not in that big a rush, but I'm jealous of those of you who will be sitting on board this weekend.

Roomer why would you say this? what are you basing this on? or are you just wishing it on me? I'm sorry if you have misunderstood things I have said in the past but anything I have every said was said with the best intentions.
There is no reason for your post other then to wish me problems. I don't understand what I have ever done to offend you but this is clearly one thing you have done to offend me.

I'm sorry to everyone else for airing my feeling in public but I felt it needed to be said.

Oh please Dave, get off it. No one is wishing you any harm. It's been my experience that jobs that are as involved as your platform live and die by Murphy's law.

If you really want to apologize for something then reread the PM's you sent me. I will not air that stuff in public but don't make it seem like I'm picking on you for no reason. Hell I'm not picking on you at all just being open about how I feel about the likelihood your job will finish in a day or 2. I hope I'm wrong. But I have to ask, why is my post offensive to you when John's post that echoed my feelings is not?

I won't intentionally mislead people and I'm willing to say what is on my mind, if you find that offensive then that's not my problem.

"I will not air that stuff in public but . . . "

Nothing intended towards the poster, but this is an oxymoron if there ever was one. :D

You all need to go enjoy your boats, rain or shine.

Rommer
John's post came across as a heads up yours came across more like wishful thinking, with no reason to make a statement like that there was no other way to take it.

Instructions for ' Bones of Anger Swim Platform Hex'

Items you will need

* Chicken Bones (Fresh works best)
* Anger
* Hammer or Feet
* bag
* bell

Gather bones of chickens and dry them in the sun for a few days.
Then when you are ready to do this hex make sure you are worked up into a frenzy of anger and hatred.
This will add to the potency of your hex! Be thinking of all this while doing this hex and when it says
'With these bones I now do crush''
take a hammer or use your feet to stomp and crush these bones as if they were your enemy before you!
When you are done sweep them up and place them in a bag.
You will then want to sprinkle the dust and remains of the bones on your enemies property around his house.
If you have a bell ring it 3 times and say...
I call upon the Ancient Ones from the great abyss to do my bidding
I invoke Cuthalu, God of Anger and the creatures of the underworld hear me now.
''Bones of anger, bones to dust
full of fury, revenge is just
I scatter these bones, these bones of rage
take thine enemy, bring him pain
I see thine enemy before me now
I bind him, crush him, bring him down
With these bones I now do crush
Make thine enemy turn to dust
torment, fire, out of control
With this hex I curse your soul''
So mote it be!

John if you hated to say it you wouldn't have, just admit it, you enjoyed saying this that's why you posted it for everyone to see.

BTW if you need a hammer let my know I wouldn't want you to hurt your feet. LOL

I have re-read this thread about a dozen times and I just don't see rommer's post as wishing you ill, or offensive in any way.

We have all been victims of projects taking longer than promised or hoped for - it's just the nature of boating.
