Thinking about getting a sailboat

Dave,
I'm with the others as far as a 18 - 20 foot center console. I have a 20' Mako and it's great to go out for a quick ride. The bay by you can be very rough for a small sailboat, especially on weekends, but if you are still into it look at a sunfish.
It will do what you are looking for except to row. Here's an ad on craigslist, http://longisland.craigslist.org/boa/4886356639.html. It might take Gizmo a little time to get used to it, but I've seen Labs on them.
I'm not sure what happened to the link, but search for sunfish and the ad will come up.

Ugh! No I am not crazy. And by too windy was a bad term to use.
Just wanted another toy to zip out to an island and let the dog run around.
Guess maybe I will put my brand new never used dinghy in the water and see how that works.
Really want a second boat and I like the center console idea, but the issue with them is seats where the jet boat as some nice comfortable seating.

This is the 19' inflatable with easy seating for 5 towards the stern not including the tubes as well as 3 in the bow area not including the tubes (8 total 3/2/2/1).....

The 24' sat 12 easily (3/2/2/2/2/1)without the tubes but was rated for many more.......

Hope this helps

Get a small, fast sailboat, leave the mutt ashore and zoom around GSB in "sporting" conditions. There is no more fun way to be on the water.
