There doesn't seem to be much to be impressed by. There seems to be little or no wind nor current effecting him. He had plenty of space, so what is so impressive about it?
Heck, it wouldn't even be impressive without the thruster. And in those conditions even without a thruster there should be no real need to use a spring line to bring you in. Just come in at an angle with some forward momentum, turn away from the dock at the last minute, bring the stern in if need be by stopping your forward momentum with some reverse on the outboard engine, or just stop your momentum with a bit of reverse on both engines as your stern comes into the pier and toss over your lines.
