I just stopped by the Sea Ray website. They redesigned it and it looks pretty good. BUT THEN... I was building a 34 foot Sundancer just for fun. YOU CAN ORDER FOR $9750, A BOW AND STERN THRUSTER! ON A 34 FOOTER. Thats outrageous. I mean really, if you need BOTH (let alone one) to handle a 34 footer... I dont want to be on the water within 10 miles of you. I mean this is a boat that is only offered twin engines. I thought I was going to pass out from laughing at that so hard. I want to know after one year of that option being available from the factory, just how many boats were built and sold with a bow and stern thruster.

I disagree, LBD, if someone can afford them, thrusters can be a valuable tool, like any other tool. We heard this sort of thing when GPS receivers came out. There are lots of marinas around, like Sailfish Marina in Palm Beach, where the current just rips through the place. I have rarely heard a professional scoff at the idea of thrusters.

Yea, but, Dick, all the new harbor tugs have azimuthing Z drives or similar. There's a reason for that.
