Throwing main breaker ???

Boat is a 1990 Carver Mariner with 2 30 amp electric panels. Out of the blue the house side main breaker trips. It will not trip with range or HWH circuit breakers on but with the either of the two outlet breakers switched on, it throws the main. Any ideas would be appreciated.
 
Is there anything plugged into either of these circuits like maybe your battery charger?
The fact that 2 breakers trip it concern me a little. What I don't understand is why the main is tripping and not the individual breaker. Is this an original panel? When you say main do you mean outside on the pole? Is it possible that the main is a ground fault breaker?
 
When you say the "the house side" main breakers trip are you talking about the breakers on the dock or the dual pole main panel breakers?
This sounds like the GFCI dock pedestal threads we have seen lately.

I was thinking the same thing, gfci main. Unplug everything from both of the outlet circuts and turn them on individually. Is it the pole main or the panel main?.......D.......
 
To clarify, the main breaker I'm referring to is on the boat panel. The 2 breakers causing this too happen are on the same panel. They are both labeled "outlets". This happened out of the blue with only the tv on.
 
Ok, so now we know it is the main in the boat panel. You state out of the blue, does this mean it is doing it randomly with out ryme or reason, or does it do it as soon as you turn the breakers on? do both breakers have to be on or just the one the TV is on? Will it trip with the TV unplugged? Is the main a GFCI?.......D........
 
Update...purchased new shore power cord as the old one was looking a little burnt...then purchased and replaced the 30 amp inlet...what I saw was scary...had partially melted. All this and the problem still persisted. After several hours of checking continuity with an Ohm meter...still found no problem, but the main breaker continued to trip when any of the sub breakers were turned on. Long story short, the diagnosis was a worn main breaker. I'm very glad this happened...though very frustrating, I found a potentially dangerous plug inlet. I am going to replace the other 30 amp inlet and shore power cord for peace of mind. Thank you all for your input.
