Thru Hulls

I am looking to cap off 2 thru hulls that I no longer use. My problem is I can't seem to find a bronze cap with NPS thread. Does such an animal exist and does it matter. I was told at my local Marine Supply that NPT thread was OKay for this sort of job. I don't want to permenantly remove thru hulls as I may well want to use these in the future. Ideas for a better solution?? Thanks

Go to McMaster-Carr or www.mcmaster.com/
Go to pipe fittings. An example would be 4429K457. Good luck

NPT thread will work fine- just load it up with teflon tape or other sealant. The NPT will actually "jam on" better than NPS.
