$ to Imron/Awlgrip Blue Stripe on 33' Cruisers?

Hi

Looking to get a ballpark figure to Imron or Awlgrip my blue stripe above the "bumper" rail to the deck on my 33' 1987 Cruisers. I'd say its an avg. 18" wide stripe that goes completely around the boat. Will also be getting an estimate from my trusty marine mechanic, but wanted any numbers that are out there.

Also, any pros or cons on Imron vs. Awlgrip would be appreciated.

Not enough info, even if you did list it all, the situations to paint boats baries so much it would be hard to throw a number out there.

You should hire a guy who paints for a living, preferably in a paint booth if there is one nearby.

Both paints are great to use, either one works, I've seen Imron last longer in the sun than Awlgrip.

You can, a big can......., paint awlgrip with a roller and tip with a brush, Imron has to be sprayed.

All Feadships are painted with Awlgrip with a brush, no spraying on these beauties, but you have to have the proper talent to do it perfectly.

I did forget to mention that the blue stripe is from an Imron job that has lasted about 12 years. The reason it needs done again is that the stripe along side of the boat that faces the west (the setting sun) has, in some places, developed a case of tiny cracks while in other places the paint has worn through.

On the side that is shaded during the afternoon, the stripe looks almost perfect and really doesn't need redone yet.

I'd tried to touch up the stripe on the bad side, thinking I'd leave the good side alone. I mixed shades of Interlux Brightsides paint, but was unable to get close to the shade that is on there now. Maybe I just need to be more persistent.
