Well most of you know exactly what Im going to write.

1) fishing guys in the middle of the narrow channels
2) fishing guys tied to the Wantagh bridge
3) more fishing guys on plane in the no wake zone.
ETC

Well I got a new one

Small coastie boat out of short beach hanging just east of watagh 3 . See's the DB tied to the bridge. See's the other DB flying out of Zachs and heading east in state channel . These are all in plain sight. Jet skier obeying the laws , putting at 5 mph with his daughter on the back of the ski ... waving to everyone... Thats who the coastie goes after. WTF.....

Jetski guy was in front of me the entire time and did not a thing wrong... So of course I had to say something to the coasties... Im like guys look around. get the guys off the bridge and bag the speeder.... I received a very STERN " MOVE ALONG "

You cant fix stupid !

Wow, you got B*lls. Surprised he didn't come down on you for telling how to do his job!

I suggest next time you call the Coast Guard, say you see a guy wearing a turbin tied to the bridge with a hand held sidewinder missle and watch how fast they react!
 
Im sure they have there Marching orders but a little common sense has to prevail. The coasties are good guys ! I appreciate all they do but some things just make zero sense.

Ever see those guys in the Auxillary Coast Guard boat. You should get BillyK to make you up some Auxillary signs, throw on a red vest, then pull along the fishing guys and tell them to move along before you write them a ticket!
 
Because.......it was easier to go after the jetski guy going 5 mph...he's not gunna run with his daughter on the back........why have to work hard and chase after a speeder......geeees !!

Makes NO difference to them who gets the tickets......just as long as they give them out !!!

Don't get me started...well I guess you already did. Last year some %^%**& with the flags decides to cut me off with his boat while I was on plane in the channel, creating a dangerous situation, to tell me that some guy was pulling a tube in the channel a mile+ a head of me.

Don't you think he should have been cutting off the other guy?

The one thing I have learned in my 51 years on this earth is that I need not to see things that bother me. I have a set of blinders on that only allows me to see the good.
Example:
Guys tied up on the bridge, it is good, when my boat squats to 5mph, my waves are absorbed by the boats, eco friendly, to the bridge and the shore line. Same it true to the guys in the middle of the channel.

......and if you loose control going under the bridge......his boat acts like a big fiberglass fender.......saving your boat !!!
 
How pathetic. Do your job or take the easy route? Sad they take the easy route and then admonish you!
