Never been there so I think it's time to give it a try.
Any suggestions for a place to tie up for the afternoon or overnight?

Thanks,

Tolchester is a nice marina with a decent bar/restaurant and a small beach directly on the bay. Other that than, there is nothing there. Not really a destination.

If you stop there and they give you a covered slip, know your antenna height!! I watched a guy take both of his vhfs' off backin into a slip. Alright stop, but as mentioned,,nothing there, but great sunsets at the pool.

Dusty--

Was that guy me??? I was there Friday (for first time). Dumbest thing I have done in a while-- pulled into shed w/o lowering antennas. Snapped them off. Boy, that was dumb.

Anyways... Marina is as others described. We spent the night then left. Beach bar is nice. They had really good barbecued Mahi Mahi, burgers, fish, etc. for sale. Beach is near shipping channel, so fun to watch barges, tugs, and ships.

T, it wasn't you that I saw, and we were just far enough away that the guy couldn't hear us, or understand the hand motions. Just when you thought all was working well, a repair pops up. Fortunately you only had a short diag. shot across the bay to home.
We have been buffed tuned etc. to go this yr., but the Admirals' father was re-admitted to hosp. thus can't be too far away.
2nd settlement hearing on our China boat tomorrow. See if the broker shows-up this time. Gets a bench warrant if not, and I'd wait around to see a couple Federal Marshalls drag his sorry a$$ into the judges' chambers.

Dusty, good to hear about the China update. I've been hoping this comes to a conclusion in your favor soon. Good luck!!!!
